We have made leaps and bounds with preparations this week...mainly due to the generous help of Anthony (thanks soooo much we really appreciate it).
The wind/water generator is connected and if the wind blows today (there isn't a breath at the moment!) it will be supplying us power.
Our inverter is connected, so I now have no excuse for my mobile not being charged!
All the electrical work is now finally finished!! No more cables to run and no more head upside down in the back storage room trying to reach a cable that we can't feed any further. Well not for a while anyway...
We have had log books and contact cards made. I have compiled and printed all the research I have been doing over the past year... places to see, things to do, customs and quarantine restrictions, medical lists, maps, recipes, budget calculation, provisioning and the list goes on.
So now we are just waiting on the desalination unit to arrive, another jib to be made, an addition to the biminy to stop the rain blowing into the cockpit, lots of food/supplies shopping to be done but we are still on track for departure on Boxing Day.
Thank you to everyone who came to our farewell party, it was great to catch up, say good bye and Merry Christmas.
